Treatments
I'm proud to be able to offer a full Chinese Medicine clinic, with all the treatments under one roof and from one practitioner. Whether you choose acupuncture; Chinese herbal medicine; nutrition; or a combination of all three, you'll be in expert hands. Every new patient starts with an in-depth initial medical consultation and we will discuss your treatment options and choose the best treatment pathway for you.
I also offer a range of online classes and occasional workshops, including Tai chi, Qigong (pronounced chee-gong), meditation and guided deep relaxation sessions. I'm currently building the 'Teaching' page behind the scenes, ready to go live soon. Watch this space.

Acupuncture
Traditional acupuncture is a healthcare system that originated in China and other East Asian cultures where it still features in mainstream healthcare, both as stand-alone therapy and in combination with conventional Western medicine. Acupuncture is now widely used and accepted all over the world. In the UK more and more people are finding out what acupuncture can do for them.
Acupuncture works to help maintain your body’s equilibrium. It involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of ‘qi’ (pronounced chee), your body’s vital energy. For a number of lifestyle and environmental reasons, qi can become disturbed, depleted or blocked, which can result in some symptoms of pain or illness. In certain instances, traditional acupuncture can be an effective therapy to help restore balance and promote physical and emotional harmony.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine is one of the core practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Here in the UK, acupuncture is probably the best-known aspect of Chinese medicine, but Chinese herbs have a 3000-year history of use and are safe and effective for many different health conditions. Your bespoke prescription will be a blend of herbs to address the underlying root causes of your health concerns and to relieve your symptoms.
Your herbs will generally be provided in single-dose, easy-to-use sachets, sent to your home address from a UK-based herbal pharmacy which meets the stringent quality and safety criteria to be one of the approved suppliers recognised by the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Please note, I only use plant-based medicine.
Nutrition
Nutrition, lifestyle and underlying genetic factors are the key drivers of many chronic diseases, but there is so much information out there it can be hard to know where to start. I offer a personalised approach, using a blend of modern functional medicine and traditional Chinese medicine to uncover the root causes of your health concerns and help you make a real difference to your quality of life.
It all starts with a full medical consultation. We will discuss your symptoms, your medical history, your diet, sleep, daily habits, medications and supplements... but also your goals and your preferences. Gut microbiome testing, food sensitivity testing, and blood tests can be ordered when it is appropriate to do so.
With this information, we can develop your health plan with realistic and achievable dietary and lifestyle adjustments that fit with your life. This can be supported with nutritional supplements or Chinese herbal medicine, either way we will meet regularly to review progress.
Consultations can be booked as online telehealth appointments, or you can visit me in my clinic.
