Chinese herbal medicine graduation day!

I have now qualified as a Chinese Herbalist. Graduation was a lovely informal event – a few speeches followed by a BBQ and chat round the firepit, a chance to kick back and relax with tutors and fellow students after three hard years of studying.
For me, the herbal medicine diploma marks the end of over seven years of formal training in Chinese medicine – a three-year degree in acupuncture followed by over a decade of clinical practice, then a one-year postgraduate certificate in Chinese medicine nutrition, six months training as a Qigong teacher and now a three-year postgraduate diploma in Chinese herbal medicine.
Along the way I’ve also qualified as an NHS-PCI accredited health coach. That’s enough certificates for this lifetime! But out of all of them, the Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine is the one I’m most proud of because it’s definitely been the hardest qualification I’ve ever taken. I’ve promised myself that there will be no more ‘big’ qualifications, but the ongoing learning never stops.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their healthcare while I was still a student! I know so much more now than I did at the beginning of my clinical practice years. It’s been a fairly intense ‘apprenticeship’ on top of all the academic studying but I’ve loved seeing the difference that herbal medicine can make and I’m looking forward to whatever the future holds.
As I am now qualified I will be charging for herbal medicine appointments. These fees will be applied as from Monday 23rd June:
Initial consultation £75 (up to an hour)
Follow up consultation £35 (up to 30 minutes)
Herbal formulae £25-35 per week depending on the herbs in the formula
Fees will be reviewed in January
Please do share my details with anyone you think could benefit. My business is still very new and word of mouth is always the best form of advertising.
Best wishes
